The Batam Sewing Project

aims to provide jobs for the rural community in Batam. The project aims to employ the parents of students at a local school thus they would be better able to afford schooling for their children. The sewing centre will train women to sew uniforms for the local schools thus giving them a stable job and income to support their families. This project has been adopted by Singapore Management University through Actxplorer.
