    Alex is an impact investor who finds the work hard but worthwhile. He desires to build true communities of investors and entrepreneurs who can enjoy one another and empower poor communities. He hopes to select only investors who are like-minded and who are willing to use their money courageously and sacrificially for the common good.

    Beneficial Returns is an impact investing fund that make loans to companies in Southeast Asia and Latin America reducing poverty. In his last employment, he was Managing Director and CEO of Bank of America Singapore.

    Andrew Choo

    FOUNDER, GRACE MISSION AGRI

    Andrew and his wife Grace are the founders of Andrew and Grace Home (AGHome). This ministry reaches out to the lost and the unloved in our society, with a mission to restore, renew and to revive these broken lives. Since it's beginning in 1998. AGHome has grown from a little semi-detached house in Sembawang to its current premises at Mattar Road, where it provides rehabilitation, and alternative educational programmes for 65 teenage girls. Today, Ag Home is known as Gladiolus Place.

    Over the past 30 years, Andrew has ministered to thousands of troubled youths and families from all walks of life. His ministry's impact on the lives of these troubled youths and families continue to resonate even after they have left the home. Andrew's alternative restorative and rehabilitation therapy and approaches is often based on the environment and nature. His love for nature has become a part of his rich Educational Programme, Nature Restorative and Rehabilitation Programme, and Sports Programme where nature and the environment brings healing in itself.

    From AGHome, Grace Mission Agri (GMA) was born. GMA is an urban therapy care farm - an inclusive community that offers an alternative to restorative therapy practices through urban farming technologies, enlarging the scope of education for children and youths with autism, as well as those with mental health issues and special needs.

    With a passion to serve, and a vision to be a farm in the city, GMA established a rooftop farm in the Ang Mo Kio to better serve both industry and the community.

    Established as a social enterprise, GMA is a care farm having a two-fold mission:

    (1) to produce fresh vegetables that is of good quality for Singapore

    (2) to equip young persons with autism with employable skills through restorative therapy and vocational training

    (3) to provide therapeutic urban farming for seniors in the early intervention of dementia, and aging active with intergenerational farming activities to allow seniors to feel useful and purposeful.

    As an urban farm in the city, GMA provides fresh (pesticide-free) local leafy greens from its rooftop farm. As a care farm, GMA provides therapeutic services consisting of a structured nature restorative program that helps to improve mental and physical wellbeing of young people with autism who gain skills through learning about horticulture while working with agricultural systems.

    Continuing with a passion to make a difference in the lives of those that he is closely associated with the poorest and the needy, Andrew and Grace established Grace Mission Sg Limited, a charity arm for others that come to seek help. Andrew is frequently featured in local media with the latest article in The Straits Times on 22 May 2024: Nature and nurture: This urban farm in S'pore has a very special mission.

  • Bruno Roche

    Bruno Roche

    FOUNDER, THE ECONOMICS OF MUTUALITY

    Bruno Roche is a pioneering figure in the realm of impact economy and management innovation, best known for founding the Economics of Mutuality. Unlike traditional economic and social systems, which operate on the premise of creating value first (capitalism) before sharing it (socialism), this breakthrough management innovation and new school of thought flips the process. It integrates from the outset the sharing of benefits (mutuality) directly into the value-creation process. The result? Enhanced value for all stakeholders, including the environment, and a fairer distribution of wealth (mutualism).

    He is the former Chief Economist at Mars Incorporated, where he led the development of the Economics of Mutuality for 15 years, btween the mid 2000’s and 2020, in close collaboration with Oxford Saïd Business School before establishing it as a non-profit platform in 2020 – with the support of Mars Incorporated.

    He co-founded Centers for the Economics of Mutuality with Oxford Saïd Business School (UK), CEIBS (Shanghai, China), and Erasmus University in Rotterdam (Rotterdam School of Management, NL). 

    In 2024, he left the Economics of Mutuality organization and launched ONEconomy, ONE Society, a global non-profit platform. This initiative pushes the Economics of Mutuality beyond business, driving toward "a just society and mutual prosperity." By reforming management education, reshaping policymaking, and applying this paradigm to cities, it aims to create a lasting, transformative impact.

    He co-edited the Oxford University Press book "Putting Purpose into Practice: the Economics of Mutuality" and co-authored the book "Completing Capitalism – Heal Business to Heal the World." Both books have been translated into Chinese. 

    He’s a Senior Fellow at the Rotterdam School of Management (NL), he’s been serving as a board member of the UN Global Compact PRME, he is a member of the S&P Global Sustainable Finance Scientific Council, a founding board member of the China Impact Investment Network, and an expert to the World Economic Forum. 

    His academic education and doctoral research followed a path in applied mathematics with specializations in international economics, international finance, and management sciences.

  • Carmen Chiang

    EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, FIDUCIARY & FAMILY OFFICE SERVICES, PROVIDENTIA WEALTH MANAGEMENT

    Carmen is a pioneer staff and board member of Providentia Wealth Management Ltd. She co-leads the Fiduciary and Family Office Services team. In addition to working with clients on structuring, she oversees the on-going administration and accounting of client-related structures. Carmen has experience working with clients from Europe, Asia and Latin America with private and corporate trust structuring as well as family advisory services.

    Prior to joining the organization in 2011, Carmen was a wealth planner at a European bank-owned trust company, assisting high net worth clients from Europe and Asia with their personal as well as corporate needs, and specializing in trusts for pre-IPO situations. Carmen also worked for global accounting firms Andersen and Ernst & Young and has more than 7 years of experience in both personal and corporate taxation. Her tax compliance and advisory portfolio of clients comprised private clients as well as large MNCs.

    Carmen graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Nanyang Technological University with a minor in Business Law. She has been involved in consultations initiated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore and the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore relating to tax and trust regulations in Singapore.

  • Cherine Fok

    Cherine Fok

    PARTNER, HEAD OF OUR IMPACT PLAN, KPMG SINGAPORE

    Cherine is a Partner and Head of Our Impact Plan at KPMG in Singapore. She has more than 15 years of consulting experience in ESG measurement, reporting and assurance, ESG deals, structuring, and financing, and decarbonisation pathways.

    Her expertise extends to the technology, science and business fields, in which she has advised organisations on developing and implementing sustainability strategies, managing compliance with regulatory requirements and facilitating climate change strategies.

    Cherine actively participates in industry dialogues and regularly provides in-depth insights and analysis on issues critical to sustainable development, including decarbonisation, reporting, sustainable finance and diversity, equity and inclusion.

    Cherine graduated from Nanyang Technological University with a Bachelor, Accountancy (Honours).

  • Cheryl Chen

    Cheryl Chen

    PRESIDENT, S&P GLOBAL FOUNDATION & SENIOR DIRECTOR, SOCIAL SUSTAINABILITY, S&P GLOBAL

    Cheryl Chen is the President of S&P Global Foundation and leads the grantmaking efforts of the S&P Global Foundation in its key focus areas to diversifying tech and data and creating environmental resilience.

    As Senior Director, Social Sustainability, she works with key functions and teams around social risks and responsibilities in global human rights.

    Before this role, she was Director of Global ESG Strategy and Engagement at S&P Global and oversees the work around corporate ESG disclosure, practices and performance.

    She joined the company as the Director of Corporate Responsibility for Asia Pacific in 2018 to scale S&P Global Foundation grant programs, employee volunteerism and corporate ESG practices in the region.

    Prior to S&P Global, Cheryl was Vice President, Head of Corporate Citizenship for Citi Singapore. She has more than ten years of experience in the private sector with a focus on how corporate citizenship and cross-sector partnerships can contribute towards sustainable development.

    Cheryl serves as a District Councilor with the South East Community Development Council since 2014 and is currently an advisory committee member of the National Youth Fund of Singapore and management committee member of the Lien Centre for Social Innovation. She is also a Council Member with the Singapore Institute of International Affairs, an independent think-tank in Singapore.

    Cheryl graduated with a Double Degree in Bachelor of Science (Economics) and Bachelor of Business Management (Major in Finance) from Singapore Management University (SMU), and obtained the Master of Social Science at SMU in 2015.

  • Chik Wai Chiew

    CEO and EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, HERITAS CAPITAL

    Wai Chiew has over 25 years of experience in global investment management and strategic business development, actively leading various companies on transformational growth strategies, fundraising and M&A. In his previous roles at Temasek and other funds, he has led and managed investments across multiple industries and geographies, deploying capital for institutions as well as multiple family offices.

    Since joining Heritas Capital, Wai Chiew has expanded its private equity investment portfolio and initiated venture capital, fund-of-funds, and impact-first investments into healthcare, education, environment, and technology sectors globally. In line with Heritas’ “invest with purpose, impact across generations” investment philosophy, he has overseen the integration of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) considerations and impact investment mandates while building up Heritas’ multi-fund impact investment platform.

    Wai Chiew was awarded the Glaxo-EDB scholarship and holds a BA in Economics from University of Cambridge, UK; MA from Yale University, USA; and completed his EMBA (conducted in Mandarin) from Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business, China. He has served as Honorary Treasurer with the Singapore Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (SVCA), and currently serves as a member of its ESG & Impact committee. Wai Chiew also actively serves as a director on multiple boards to advocate sustainable growth and sound governance.

    Chris is a co-founder of Fefifo, an agtech company that is modernising agriculture through technology and co-farming, empowering small farmers and bringing safe and healthy food to businesses and families. Chris leads Fefifo's strategy, innovation, fundraising, and is the company's all-round fixer and guard rails, guiding the company towards its goal of being a new world model for profitable, sustainable smallholder farming. He has over 18 years of experience building businesses, teams, processes and products, 12 of that for MNCs, with the last 5 for Fefifo. Chris has a computing degree from the National University of Singapore and a Masters in Technopreneurship and Innovation from the Nanyang Technological University.

  • Christopher Leow

    Christopher Leow

    FOUNDER, THE FREESTYLE FARMER

    Christopher Leow runs an urban farming consultancy where he coaches and focuses on cultivating food, people, and spaces in Singapore and internationally. Over the past decade, he have undertaken numerous projects aimed at creating urban farms in Singapore.

    Together with the company of passionate, like-minded people, Chris has successfully transformed vacant land and underutilised spaces in the heart of the city into viable agricultural spaces. He has worked hand in hand with various stakeholders to bring about sustainable food production that promotes healthier lifestyles while reducing the environmental impact of importing food.

    His past projects have included rooftop gardens, vertical farms, and community gardens that have encouraged Singaporeans of all ages to participate in local food production. These gardens have brought people together, educated the community, and created a sense of shared responsibility towards building a sustainable food system for a brighter future.

  • Colin Wee

    Colin Wee

    REGIONAL DIRECTOR, ASIA, HELP LOGISTICS

    As the Regional Director for Asia at HELP Logistics, Colin leverages his extensive experience to drive regional strategies and foster impactful collaborations.

    Prior to HELP Logistics, Colin was the Head of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) at a global sports media property, where he drove regional strategy, and played a crucial role in revenue generation, as well as client management. Throughout his career, Colin has collaborated with prestigious organisations such as the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP), International Organization for Migration (IOM), World Vision International, Save the Children International, Plan International, International Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, and various National Disaster Management agencies in Asia.

    Colin is an economist with a Master's in Applied Economics (Public Policy) from the University of Adelaide. With a deep commitment to the humanitarian sector since 2012, he has actively contributed to academic research, emergency relief operations, supply chain optimisation consulting projects, and NGO capacity strengthening.

  • Daniel Long

    Daniel is deeply committed to social impact and making the world a better place for all. A big believer in social equity and the power of social capital to nurture sustainable communities, he is a strong advocate for business-as-mission/business-for-good as a redemptive and restorative channel to uplift the under-served. Extremely energized with like-minded/hearted folk who are all-in for their families and their assignments in season, he deeply appreciates authenticity and people being real and honest with each other.

    Daniel is a Corporate and Securities lawyer by training. Having obtained his Bachelor of Laws in the United Kingdom, he obtained his post-graduate qualifications from the National University of Singapore. He later joined an investment bank and advised on initial public offerings, private-equity fund raisings, mergers and acquisitions etc. Daniel was instrumental in the initial public offering of a leading precision engineering company and subsequently joined them to head their Technology and Strategic Investments division.

    Between 2000 to 2007, Daniel was appointed Deputy CEO and CFO of an e-government software enterprise and helped to commercialize and export their innovative product solutions to global clients.

    In 2007, Daniel co-founded Providence Capital Management Pte Ltd (PCM), and remains its Co-Managing Partner until today. PCM currently manages and advises a number of umbrella funds and multiple special purpose investment vehicles across a range of asset classes. PCM’s clients and stakeholders include financial institutions, family trusts and high-net worth individuals.

    Daniel is also part of the founding team that established agathos.be, a decentralized technology-based crowdsourcing platform that rallies donors to meet the needs of the least, last and lost in society.

  • Danny Kim

    Danny Kim

    FOUNDER, FULLARMOR CORP

    Danny Kim has a diverse background in space exploration, robotics, and the sea. He got involved in space after volunteering for a project where kids launched an experiment to the International Space Station, and was inspired by the kids' excitement and learning. Danny worked with NASA to make it possible for students to run experiments in space and get results back within 24-48 hours. He led a junior high school team that won a $7 million X prize competition to map the ocean floors, becoming the only junior high school team to win in 29 years.

    Danny is also the Founder of FullArmor Corp - a leader in cyber security that has helped more than 30 Fortune 100 companies including Bank of America, Boeing, and Wal-Mart, design and deploy their Security Policy, Datacenter, and Cloud based infrastructures.

    David Pong is a social entrepreneur who believes in harnessing the power of business to drive social change and solve the world’s toughest problems.

    Having witnessed villagers across Asia who are still burdened by waterborne diseases in the 21st century, David co-founded Wateroam in 2014 to design & build innovative water filters that provide safe drinking water in the hardest-to-reach places on earth. Together with his team, Wateroam has built cost-effective water filters that are simple-to-use, swift to deploy and can provide high quality drinking water without electricity.

    Today, Wateroam’s filters have been deployed through its partners to 43 countries globally and provided clean water access to more than 250,000 people in rural & disaster-hit communities. Wateroam's innovation has been recognized with accolades by organizations such as the World Economic Forum, United Nations, and ASEAN.

    Dickson heads TT Foundation Advisors, Temasek Trust’s philanthropy advisory services arm. TT Foundation Advisors provides philanthropy advisory, professional management, and other essential services to charitable foundations, family offices, business corporations, philanthropists, and charities across Asia. He is a seasoned and trusted Senior Philanthropy Advisor to prominent philanthropists across Asia, contributing high-impact strategies and initiatives to establish their philanthropic legacies.

    Dickson spent more than 20 years serving in senior positions of, and thereafter advising leading nonprofit organisations in the healthcare, education, social services, and environmental sectors. Critical to their success are systemic solutions designed for strategic and innovative efficacy. He regularly mentors the next generation of family successors and their foundations to invest in sustainable and scalable philanthropic programmes, to maximise impact at local, national, and regional levels.

    Prior to joining Temasek Trust, Dickson was Executive Director and Head of Philanthropy & Community Impact, Singapore at UBS, where he spearheaded the development and implementation of its regional philanthropy and social responsibility initiatives. Before that, he worked at BNP Paribas Singapore as the Head of Individual Philanthropy Services for Southeast Asia.

    Divya Patel is passionate about delivering impact through needs-oriented, effective and sustainable solutions. She continues to follow her passion to build a stronger ecosystem for the impact sector as CEO at Ishk Tolaram Foundation (ITF), a philanthropic organisation that provides underserved individuals access to quality education, healthcare and skills training in Indonesia, Nigeria and Singapore. She also champions innovation in impact financing, and the use of alternate financial instruments to fund social change projects, and bring greater participation from the private sector in funding solutions.

    Prior to ITF, Divya spent a decade in management consulting with IBM, before switching career paths to develop social entrepreneurs, first with Impact Hub, then with Ashoka.

    Elizabeth is Group CEO of Sunway Education, owned and governed by the not-for-profit Jeffrey Cheah Foundation. Under Elizabeth’s leadership since 1992, it has grown from just one institution into a dynamic group of over 20, encompassing kindergarten all the way up to university, and alternative education pathways.

    As a respected thought-leader in education and leadership, she serves as trustee of MERCY Malaysia (a world-renowned humanitarian organisation), and the 30% Club (promoting women leadership in public company boards). Internationally she is a member of the British Council’s Going Global Partners Group and the High-Level Advisory Council of the UN SDG Academy.

    Elizabeth holds a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Education from Cambridge University. She is a past-president of the Oxford and Cambridge Alumni Society of Malaysia. Her many awards and accolades include two honorary doctorates from the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom, and Victoria University, Australia, respectively. For her lifelong dedication and commitment in the field of education, she was appointed as Professor at Sunway University in February 2021 and bestowed the state title of Dato’ by His Royal Highness Sultan Nazrin Shah, the Sultan of Perak in 2022.

    Eugene is currently the Founding Lead of E3TWENTY, an Organisational Leadership Coaching Collaborative. He helped set-up TOUCH Community Services and served as its first Executive Director from 1992-2016. From 2016-2020, he was CEO of TOUCH International. Eugene contributes his time and experiences to a wide range of non-profit Boards including: NCSS, NVPC, The Majurity Trust, and HealthServe Ltd. In recognition of his service in the community, he was conferred the Public Service Medal (PBM) National Day Awards 2005 and the Public Service Star (BBM) National Day Awards 2020.

    Gavin is Vice Chair at SGTech, Singapore's leading tech trad association with over 1,000 members. He also serves as Co-Chair of SGTech's sustainability and digital trust committees to help develop the respective industries.

    Gavin also works at Meta for close to a decade, supporting data center investments in Asia. He is a regional spokesperson and sponsors social impact programs in relation to digital skills, sustainabiity and AI.

    Trinh is the co-founder of Bong Sen Community Development, based in Hau Giang, Vietnam’s Mekong Delta region. Trinh possesses a strong passion towards development work, especially for empowering women and girls. Trinh also leads Deltaccelerate, an initiative aimed at accelerating the growth of women-led small and medium agribusiness enterprises tackling climate adaptation in Vietnam’s Mekong Delta through partnerships between the Australian government and New Energy Nexus through the Business Partnerships Platform's Climate Adaptation Partnerships.

    Jeremy helps companies to scale their profits and their impact. His personal mission is to help 100 CEOs, in 10 years, to impact 100m people. Besides business growth, he helps clients to set lasting legacy goals that spur both dynamic growth and long-term impact. Some of these goals include creating 1m jobs in 10 years, clothing 1m people in 10 years, and enabling 1m under-privileged children to attend university in 10 years.

    Jeremy is also a certified Family Office Advisor and also a Board Advisor to some of the fast-growing private companies in Asia, helping them to plan their next stage of growth and wealth management. For many of them, integrating their family goals and business goals are critical and he is able to integrate the two into 1 approach.

    Jeremy is also the director of Corporate Strategy for Adam Khoo Learning Technologies Group (AKLTG), an Enterprise50 Award company. Together with the leadership team of AKLTG implementing Scaling Up and digital transformation since 2015, they have scaled their net profits 12x from 2015-2019, doubling it again in 2020. Now he coaches companies across APAC how to scale.

    Jeremy's clients are spread across APAC, in more than 20 different industries ranging from professional services to heavy industries, and some of them have experienced 10X growth. He is also an international speaker for audiences as large as 500 business owners, and was a featured speaker on the Asia CEO Forum Tech Summit 2021 speaking on digital transformation.

    Jeremy is a founding member of Transformational Business Network Asia (TBNA), and serves as a pro-bono business mentor for social enterprises in Asia that are working to eradicate poverty through enterprise.

    Acton Institute is an international educational and public policy organization based in Grand Rapids, Michigan with international affiliates in Rome, Italy and Buenos Aires, Argentina. The Institute publishes scholarship and film and organizes educational seminars around the world for current and future religious leaders across denominations promoting an understanding of the ethical dimensions of the free market economy.  The Institute also works with business leaders, helping them to embrace their work as a worthy calling and to encourage their positive moral defense of a free society characterized by individual liberty and personal moral responsibility. 

    Kris has an economics and international relations degree from Johns Hopkins University. He is widely recognized as a leader in non-profit management and consults regularly on best practices in governance, management, measurement and evaluation, and fundraising. In 2010 he was presented with the Charles G. Koch Distinguished Alumnus Award from the Institute for Humane Studies, and was the 1999 recipient of the Liberty Executive Award for Outstanding Non-Profit Management. Kris serves as a director or as an advisory board member for a number of institutions, including Donors Capital Fund, Foundation for Economic Education (FEE), John Templeton Foundation, Templeton World Charity Foundation, and Templeton Religion Trust and Excel Charter Academy.  Kris is active in a number of community organizations including the Economics Club of Grand Rapids, Rotary International, and The Philadelphia Society.

    EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, WOMEN OF WILL (WOW)

    Lakshwin Muruga is the Executive Director of Women Of Will (WOW), which provides low-income women in Malaysia with business capital, training on entrepreneurship and coaching to support them in developing sustainable and profitable businesses. WOW then works to develop some of these women entrepreneurs into women community leaders. To date, WOW has impacted more than 2,700 women from over 40 communities in Malaysia while developing more than 70 women community leaders in these communities.

    With more than a decade of experience working on women empowerment in urban and rural communities in Malaysia, Sri Lanka and Nepal, he has designed and implemented projects that are based on entrepreneurship, agriculture, leadership and wellbeing. In addition to empowering women, Lakshwin believes youth have an important role to play in addressing current and future challenges and more opportunities need to be created to support the development of youths.

    Dr Lai Pak Wah is Principal and Lecturer, Church History and Marketplace Theology. Dr Lai has published extensively in early church history and spirituality, Chinese culture and Digital Theology. He is also the author of The Dao of Healing: Christians Perspectives on Chinese Medicine. Prior to theology education, he was engaged in investment promotion at the Singapore Economic Development Board and taught Supply Chain Management at Singapore Polytechnic, School of Business.

    His recent achievements include spearheading the integration of ESG principles into Agri-Food projects, aligning business strategies with sustainable practices; development and executing carbon-neutral strategies whereby effectively reducing the environmental footprint of related Agri & food processing operations. His commitment to promoting sustainable practices is further demonstrated through the establishment of strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, including government bodies, NGOs, and industry leaders.

    He is Singapore Representative (Private Sector) to APEC Policy Partnership on Food Security and is also the current APEC Chair (WG1) for Sustainable Development in Agricultural and Fishery sectors (PPFS) where he co-ordinates discussions between senior officials, APEC governments and the private sector on the use of technology and combined resources for Sustainable Development in the Agri Food industry.     Russ Neu is the Founder and CEO of Social Collider, an aggregator of resources for impact organisations. In 2018, Russ published 'It Made A Difference To This One', a book about an NGO that has helped more than 20,000 children impacted by AIDS in China.

    Russ is also a Venture Partner, Impact, at Quest Ventures, a leading venture fund for technology companies that have scalability and replicability in large internet communities. The impact fund, the first in Asia from a venture capital fund, focuses on the base of pyramid issues in Southeast Asia.

    As part of the UNDP programme to share and teach social entrepreneurship, Russ was appointed as a Visiting Professor to carry out the movement across Southeast Asia in 2020.

    Russ is also heavily involved in mentoring students at the institute of higher education. Since 2021, Russ has been appointed as sociopreneur-in-residence at the Singapore University of Social Sciences, mentoring students in social entrepreneurship. He also lectures and mentors at the Masters of Venture Creation at the National University of Singapore.

    Russ initiated the diversity and inclusion strategy at Flex where he increased the hiring of persons with disabilities from five to 400 in Zhuhai, China. This was his portfolio as the global lead for diversity and inclusion at Flex (formerly Flextronics).

    Prior to Flex, Russ was with the Ministry of Education in Singapore, where he was seconded to Laos as part of a Singapore International Foundation program to improve access to education for senior public officials.

    Russ is a graduate of the National University of Singapore, and was a Korea Development Bank scholarship recipient for his MBA from Tsinghua University in partnership with MIT. Russ graduated as valedictorian for this MBA in 2014.

    For leisure, Russ enjoys reading and writing. His travel notes have been published in The Straits Times and other publications, while his chronicles of Laos were published in a well-received book.

    Sinni brings with her a decade of experience building and managing policy, measuring impact, galvanising networks with stakeholders and pursuing ambitious goals for progress. She has also held several leadership positions in non-profit organizations, most recently being an Asia 21 Next Generation Fellow, class of 2023. Additionally, Terry has represented Singapore as a judge at both the F1 in Schools Malaysia National Finals and the World Finals.

    Terry also co-founded a startup in the enrichment training sector. Under his leadership, the company quickly rose to rank among the top 10 in Singapore, generating over SGD $1 million in revenue within three years. Terry stepped down from the leadership in 2015. He holds both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Business Administration.

    Timothy Wong is Managing Director and Head, Group Research and Strategy. He is tasked with driving the Asian Insights initiative for DBS which seeks to deliver differentiated value to DBS customers via a collective in-depth understanding of Asian economics, markets, and business. In addition to this, he also oversees the strategy ideation, formulation, and management processes to support senior management of DBS Group.

    Based in Singapore, he oversees a 100-strong team of Economists, Investment Strategists and Industry Analysts spread across six offices in the Asia. The macro team covers the “Asia 10” and G3 economies, whilst the investment strategy team provides analysis on currency, interest rates, equities and credit markets.     Tommy Co-founded Greenhope as a bioplastic company that researches, develops, and produces its own patented biodegradable and bio-based resins. The company redesigns the future of plastic items using natural minerals (Oxium) and locally-sourced and Fair For Life certified tapioca (Ecoplas and Naturloop) as alternatives to conventional plastics items that cannot be easily recycled, thereby reducing microplastics contamination in the world.

    Greenhope has also improved the welfare of cassava farmers in the Bogor area under the Fair For Life Scheme by purchasing raw materials from them at rates more than 25% higher than market rates. Every 200 tons of Ecoplas can benefit 500 farmers and their families, fulfilling SDG Goal 1 (No Poverty), SDG Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), and SDG Goal 10 (Reduced Inequality). Our bioplastic also has 30% less GHG emission and 45% less energy use compared to conventional plastic.

    Since its inception in 2017, Greenhope is now present in more than 15 countries. We collaborate with >300 top brands and factories around the world, successfully transforming >125,000 tons of >40 different plastic applications to be sustainable.

    Venerable Wong Tak Meng is the Archdeacon for Community Services of the Anglican Church in Singapore. He serves as the Senior Chaplain of St Andrew’s Mission Hospital and Singapore Anglican Community Services. He also directs a training programme known as Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) to train pastors, chaplains and committed lay volunteers in spiritual and pastoral care, including palliative care. He looks forward to a world where everyone can live abundantly regardless of their circumstances, and leave this life in peace and with a legacy recognized by all who know them.
